About Us
Established in Lucan in 2008, The Cartridge Expert is your local printer, cartridge and Photo specialist. A small team of 3, we offer high-quality affordable alternatives to buying original branded inks and toners, as well a broad range of print related services such as document printing, photo printing, large format printing, personalised gift printing, promotional printing etc. We are a full service Fujifilm Ireland partner, with in-store Fujifilm Kiosks and our own Fujifilm webstore.
Our Services
At the core of our business is our famous Printer with Unlimited Ink Deal. For as little as €179 you can own a brand new, A4 colour printer with unlimited ink for a whole year. We carry a wide range of home and office printers and we’re always happy to advise you when choosing the right printer for your needs. With our cartridge-refilling service, we can refill almost all brands of ink cartridge, and if we can’t refill it, we can usually offer some type of low-cost alternative.
B2B services are an integral part of our business. As well as ISO certified compatible ink and toner cartridges, we also offer an Office Printer Repair and Installation service, a Stationery Printing service (e.g. business cards) and stock a broad range of school stationery and office Supplies.
Digital Photo and Personalised Gift printing is one of our core services at the Cartridge Expert. Our printed products include Passport Photos, Digital prints, Banners and Posters, Canvasses, Photobooks, In terms of gifts, we can print Photo Blocks, Calendars and Greeting Cards.
We’re always adding to our services at The Cartridge Expert and whatever we do, we try to do it right. Other services currently available in our store include document printing, photocopying, scanning, binding, laminating, large format printing (up to A1 posters & plans), key-cutting as well as company rubber stamps and seals.

In a world that’s gone so heavily online, we offer that consistently high standard of knowledge and service that only a local, owner-operated retail business can deliver.
We understand how stressful operating computers and printers can be. For this reason, we’re never too busy to answer a question and we believe there’s no such thing as a stupid question when it comes to computers or printers or photos.
We can refill your ink cartridges within half an hour, avoiding the minimum 2 day delivery time with online suppliers.
We’re a business with a face, so if there’s ever an issue we’re right here on the Main st. in Lucan to listen to you and solve the problem promptly.
All our refilled inks are print tested immediately before handing them out, avoiding the quality issues caused by stocking inks on the shelves for long periods of time.
Underpinning our business is a genuine community ethos and we are proud to sponsor Lucan Sarsfieds U13 Girls Football and Camogie teams, as well as Lucan United FC U16 boys football team.
